JUSTICE IS NOT FOR SALE
"Our justice system is an integral part of the front line of defense protecting victims and our community at-large from its dangerous and undesirable elements. Maintaining the integrity of that system is vital to its strength and that is why judges have a sworn duty to behave in a way that avoids even the appearance of impropriety. Yet, as candidates for elected offices, those who seek to serve the ends of justice on the bench are forced into the unseemly world of courting campaign contributors, many of whom will later present cases in their courtrooms. That is wrong. For that reason, I will neither seek nor accept campaign contributions from any source and intend to limit my campaign expenditures to an absolute minimum. Justice must never again be for sale and my campaign will be focused on meeting as many people as I can, listening to their concerns and telling them my views on how we best administer justice to keep our community safe." Bill has been a practicing attorney in Travis County for the past twenty two years. He has represented clients on both sides of the aisle in both criminal and civil cases. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Austin Asian American Bar Association, Austin Bar Association and is a member of The State Bar College.
